What Proper Job provides

Proper Job helps builders produce early guide price ranges and shared client links. It is designed to get an enquiry moving before all drawings, selections, surveys and final scope decisions are complete.

Guide prices are not fixed quotes

A guide price is an exploratory budget range only. It is not a fixed quote, contract, tender, survey, professional valuation, or promise to complete the works for that amount. Final pricing depends on survey, specification, drawings, statutory costs, availability, hidden conditions and agreement between builder and client.

Builder responsibility

Builders are responsible for checking the information they enter, reviewing generated guide prices, setting their margin, VAT status, company details and deciding whether a guide price is suitable to send.

Client responses

Client sliders, extras and response forms are for discussion and budgeting. They do not automatically approve extras, change the sent guide price, or create a revised quote unless the builder separately issues one.

Purchases

Paid guide price features are unlocked through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple handles payment processing, purchase confirmation and refund requests under App Store rules.

Availability and accuracy

We aim to keep Proper Job reliable and commercially useful, but pricing data, regional adjustments and guide outputs should still be treated as builder-reviewed aids, not guaranteed pricing advice.

Privacy and support

See the Privacy Policy for data handling and the Support page for help or requests.
