How Proper Job handles data.

Who this applies to

This policy covers the Proper Job iOS app, the Proper Job website, shared guide price links, PDF guide prices, support requests and client response forms.

Data we collect

  • Builder profile details, including name, company details, VAT status and logo.
  • Client and job details entered by the builder, including names, emails, postcode areas, project descriptions, ranges and selected options.
  • Shared guide price data, including sent versions, pricing profile snapshots, read status, revision requests and client responses.
  • Purchase and billing records needed to unlock paid guide price features.
  • Technical identifiers such as an installation ID, request metadata and basic diagnostics needed to operate and protect the service.
  • Messages sent through support or contact forms.

How we use data

  • To create, send and display guide price links and PDFs.
  • To show the builder when a client has viewed or responded to a guide price.
  • To process App Store purchases, support unlocks and billing access.
  • To improve pricing profiles, product reliability and support.
  • To prevent abuse, spam, duplicate redemptions and unauthorised access.

Who processes data

Proper Job uses service providers to host the website, database, email delivery, payment unlocks and analytics needed to run the product. These may include Vercel, Supabase, Resend and Apple. We do not sell personal data.

Guide price links

Shared guide price links are designed for the builder and their client. Anyone with a valid shared link may be able to view that guide price, so builders should only share links with the intended recipient.

Retention and deletion

We keep data for as long as it is needed to provide the service, maintain sent version history, handle support, keep purchase records and meet legal or security requirements. To request deletion or correction, contact us through the support page.

Your choices

You can choose what client and builder details you enter, remove builder logo details in the app, and contact support to ask about access, correction or deletion.
